Arma 3

Pain. Nothing but pain. Ive loved this game since it came out. 13 years ago. This game was nothing but features. Being armaed through a wall due to laggy server. Arma. Being launched into space hitting razor wire. Arma. Randomly combusting b/c you accidentally tapped another vic. Arma. Car randomly exploding/breaking b/c you hit a bush. ARMA.

I hate this game for making me unable to find another game that can scratch the Antistasi itch* but less jank. Not because of the guerilla warfare, i personally don't care about guerilla stuff, but it reminds me a lot of the Just Cause games, just done proper and as a skirmish campaign instead of being the whole point. *: It would probably be something like an asymmetrical persistent warfare game. basically nothing like Antistasi or Antistasi Ultimate currently exists.

It might have come out in 2013 but it is absolutely peak. 450 hours of gameplay is not enough, must play more arma..

The game offers a wide variety of vehicles and weapons, but if you add mods, you can turn it into a realistic simulator.

I purchased this during the sale, and it was an extremely enjoyable game, I have only had this for 3 days but played 14 hours already. The base game is fun enough, but the mods create for an very satisfying and fulfilling experience. Despite initial fears, my computer holds up very well to this game, although I have not tried multiplayer, my PC can still run above 40 fps in single player. I fully recommend anyone interested in fps or military to play this game.

It's a tricky game to get into as a beginner as there are a bunch of keybinds, gamemodes, and mechanics, and it's quite unforgiving. However if you find a good server or a community that caters to what you want out of the game, you get hundreds of hours of fun. Extremely large collection of mods, from guns, vehicles, to entire handcrafted maps. Even for a game over a decade old it still looks pretty good with settings on high, and there's a bunch of realism to it in terms of bullet ballistics and flight models. Until Arma 4 comes out I will still recommend this as a purchase, especially when it's on Steam sale.
